Stratigraphic analysis of Argandoña Parish Church. The church, one of the best known Romanesque buildings in the region, contains evidence of two medieval construction phases and numerous reforms carried out during later centuries.
Stratigraphic analysis of the walls of the Angostina Parish Church. The study has enabled us to define four main construction phases, from the medieval building to the present day.

Stratigraphic analysis of the walls of the Ullibarri Arana parish church. During the previous issue of this publication, an interpretation was proposed. However, later analyses have revealed that this interpretation was incorrect. The corrected results are presented here, and vary mainly in relation to phase 1. The study is divided into five phases.

A stratigraphic study was carried out of the walls of Asunción de Nuestra Señora de Guereñu Church, located in the eastern part of the Province of Alava. The stratigraphic sequence of the work has revealed a series of construction phases, beginning at the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century.

Archaeological excavation at the top of the hill on which the First Iron Age settlement is located. Two dwellings  were documented, corresponding to successive phases. The most modern seems to have undergone various  restorations and reparations. Unlike in the lower part of the settlement, where an organised process of  abandonment was documented, here, evidence points to the sudden destruction of the dwellings, in various  phases, with collapse and fires.

The archaeological intervention was carried out in the context of the «Project to improve the route and
extension of the A-3212 road platform» and included prior prospecting and sondages, the excavation of the areas affected by the works, verification sondages in other areas of the site and the archaeological monitoring of the works themselves within the protected area.
These activities enabled us to document a broad sequence of occupation, ranging from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages. The oldest remains pertained to two silos dating from the first quarter of the fourth millennium BC. During the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age a large fortified settlement was built with numerous domestic structures. During the Roman era, the abandoned settlement was turned into a large agricultural
terrace associated with a rural village located on the flat plain to the north of the hill. Finally, during the Middle Ages, a small defensive watchtower was built at the summit of the hill

The archaeological intervention carried out in the Añana Salt Valley has improved our knowledge of the era
of salt making about which littlest is known, namely, its origins. Although the research work has just begun,
we have already documented eight phases, which range from the beginning of salt production in the Neolithic
era (5th millennium BC) to the present day. It is a timeline spanning sixty centuries in which, to date, we have
only been able to date with complete certainty the fillings generated during salt-making activities during the
Neolithic era (middle of the 5th millennium BC) and the Chalcolithic period (between the end of the 3rd
millennium and the beginning of the 2nd millennium BC), a well dating from the 9-10th century
and constructions built from the 18th century onwards.

Archaeological excavation of two lower terraces and assessment sondages in the higher area of Alto de Castejón, a settlement dating from the 1st Iron Age.
